My Creative Hashimoto Autoimmune Alkaline Yeast Free LATEX FREE Shopping list- I’m Back to VEGAN except for GHEE.
OK I have Hashimoto’s disease which means I have to be gluten free. Apparently many people with this condition go the PALEO route. I am also Vegan. I am also supposed to minimize goiterous foods (mostly certain vegetables) and they must be COOKED. However having talked to Vegans with my condition many have said they are fine being raw but they juice many of the vegetables. I also have LATEX FRUIT SYNDROME so many fruits and vegetables I may be sensitive to. I have made a list below of the ones I have found I am truly allergic to so far. I also probably need to eliminate nightshades (tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, radishes, etc.). My tummy really does not like tomatoes so I might as well assume eggplants and the rest of that family of vegetables I am done with. Also I have had an allergic reaction to what appears to be soy lecithin. So No SOY. NO SOY of ANY KIND. I am also eliminating corn. I need to be protein rich and alkaline.
Latex-Fruit Syndrome means I may also develop an allergy to some plant products, usually fruit. I realize that both SOY and TOMATOES are on the LATEX and NIGHTSHADE list of Foods to avoid. Other plants I might have a problem with are Bananas, Pineapple, Avocado, Chestnut, kiwi fruit, mango. passion fruit, fig, and strawberries. I appear to definitely have a problem with celery and bananas.
YEAST ALLERGY: I can not have leftovers. I can not have food that has been canned that contains citrus acid, or any thing with citrus acid in it. I can not have sugars or anything artificially sweetened. I can not have mushrooms, fungus, or anything that may contain yeast or grow yeast. I eat a diet of 100% natural foods with any processed foods being very simple, like rice and quinoa pasta. I make my own salad dressing with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and spices like garlic powder and turmeric.
