Ok first let me tell the back story behind this. the counselor at SMC has had some kind of issue with me since we were on the Stewart Street location. He is an older man, African American, who apparently has experience in the industry. however I met with him to review my grades and ask for assistance as to what I should take and he basically told me I could take what I WANTED. Yet I found resistance to me taking any classes involving the film Department. (Actually now I wonder if there were not some kind of slander from someone because I knew a girl on sets who was in the Film Department at SMC who worked background with me. I stopped talking to her though because her boyfriend was being too nice to me and she kept getting jealous and I am NOT that kind of girl.) Anyways after that I decided it would be a waste of time to go to see him again. Well last semester he comes into my storyboard class. And I was in more than one class. he hands out slips of paper wanting to know what are goals were and when we expected to be done. Well he barely looked me in the eye. I had asked him via email for assistance and he refused to let me take a class over even though the teacher wanted me too. I ended up having to go to the main campus. the interesting thing is I talked to an African American counselor who refused me permission. then I went back and talked to a white male counselor who gave me permission. Well on the day he hands out the slips I write on mine I don’t want him as my counselor. I had already indicated to him I was no longer going to seek his assistance. Well he stands in my row for a good three or more minutes reading my note. then he says the feeling are mutual and walks on. He said something else that was slanderous but I got too upset to remember. I verbally told him he was slandering me. I got up and went up to him and said it. he acted like I was going to hit him. I did not even raise a fist. Later I find out he lies to the dean (an African American woman) and says he politely said I should get someone else as my counselor. <\/p>\n
Over the winter break I did not go to school. I was not taking classes. I was busy dealing with trying to figure out how to cure Hashimoto symptoms when the Doctors tell me I don’t need medication but I weigh a good 15 pounds under weight with my pants falling down. I suddenly get a letter in the mail saying that I am suspended for a year. Well according to the email I sent an email to the Counselor. I didn’t. I realized then he must mean my MAILCHIMP. But I did not intentionally sign him or anyone up to it. I emailed the dean and then proceeded to contact the OMBUSDMAN. the thing is if he and the dean had read my mail chimp they would have found out I have HASHIMOTO’s. It someone does not want to be on my mailchimp they can unsubscribe. If I am being labelled crazy for fighting to be an actor all I can say is I have the right under the Constitution to express who I am and I am not going to accept a label or career goal without being free to pursue a career in acting. My goal is not monetary. I need acting. I can’t even stand being around people who don’t get the craft. <\/p>\n
This morning I went to school early because I had to finish a project for my editing class. the staff in the lab had just gotten back from sick leave from surgery. Apparently a few weeks ago he was told by the administration that if I came to school they should call the police on me. I am like “what?” I have no criminal record. I am an intelligent woman who had been repeatedly abused. IN fact I am kind of furious at some of the staff at SMC because I am tired of sitting in the lab and hearing “at least this person is Jewish” or well other religious comments or derogatory statements about how actors are attractive, etc. I spent part of my class in tears. I was so upset. No wonder the film department act the way that they do or keep brining up insurance. I am sorry but I have not sued anyone in California and frankly I am not one to commit fraud. I keep being called a fraud on my twitter. Not only that but this one kid who has been at SMC for almost as long as I have and not finished, sent me an email telling me to apply for jobs with FOX business. I would never work for FOX business. KEEP IN MIND I am being attacked on my twitter by someone claiming I am a NARC and that I am secretly a republican. I was also signed up for FOX job bulletins. Which by the way the COPS have told me I can get the person signing me up for these news letters arrested for impersonating me. <\/p>\n
Seriously someone signed me up for the AZ GOP and MCCAIN’s website. I am sorry but I would never vote for McCain. EVER. I have NEVER been a Republican. I am sorry to disappoint. I am very upset though because now I want to sue my SCHOOL for slander and want to know if there is a financial connection between SMC and ABC or DISNEY. I VOTED FOR OBAMA. I did not vote for him to be abused for being white or to experience prejudice because I am a strong educated woman. I ALSO HAD THE RIGHT TO CHANGE CAREERS. I am not interested in gaining DEBT and frankly I want to be an actor which is why I would want to MAKE MONEY. I don’t want to work to pay the rent. I want to work to achieve happiness and with out my dream to be working on sets again there is NO HAPPINESS. there are plenty of unattractive WOMEN working as actors. And people should audition me before they decide if they want to hire me. PERIOD. <\/p>\n
As it stands I have to quit the one class I need to graduate because I can’t deal. And what makes me angry is that the same staff member and this kid kept pushing me to take the class. I need to know AVID before I take the FINAL CLASS to build a portfolio to graduate. What gets me is that there are people in the class who already know it. I suspect they are taking the class for perhaps financial reasons or pay raise. But I am being subjected to repeated abuse for being a woman. One guy I now refuse to talk to I think probably thought I was being nice because of a guy girl thing. He said something about being married. He basically asked me how was my break sitting doing nothing. He assumed I was doing NOTHING. I was doing things just not making money and being up set about people like him slandering me that I am lazy when I have not had a vacation since 1993 not that I care about a vacation because I want to be working at a JOB I LOVE and doing things I love and working at acting is what I LOVE MOST. <\/p>\n
I should add that the guy who sent me the email about getting a job at FOX I overheard today saying that he did not now it was medical. NO I am angry at him because he was being a jerk and abusive. Keep in mind I have not gotten within feet of this kid since the fall. He also once came to me because I knew PREMIERE PRO better than he did and I still do. <\/p>\n
