This is a VAMPIRE STORY<\/p>\n\n\n\n
INT. BAR – NIGHT
The place looks like it smells of piss and alcohol. Its semi crowded. Enough to say its popular but not enough that a person can not maneuver unnoticed. A WOMAN who in the shadows looks pale suddenly appears next to a MAN, young street and Goth, but with sun touched skin. He appears not to realize how close the WOMAN is. The Woman flashes a sinister smile. She graces her hand on the back of the man\u2019s neck and he does not react. We see the woman\u2019s eyes and they are dark and for a second seem to glow a blood red. The Man turns to the bar and he has a British accent.
MAN
Hey Charlie. Give me another drink.
The Man takes the drink and swigs it. We see that the woman is no longer there.
EXT. ALLEY BEHIND BAR – NIGHT
The WOMAN is violently ill. She appears to be dry heaving and shaking. A different MAN #2 who was smoking approaches.
MAN #2
Hey? You OK?
Woman with her back to the man tries to open her mouth to speak but gags. Her hand moves to cover her mouth. She turns to the man and stumbles. Man #2 grabs her and she wraps her arms around him. Suddenly she moves her face toward his neck. There is a hideous sound like flesh and bone tearing and then darkness.
INT. POLICE STATION – DAY
DETECTIVE MORENO, late 30s, sits at his desk. A street cop, OFFICER VARGAS female, also late 30s, puts a folder on his desk.
OFFICER VARGAS
There was another one last night Moreno. Same MO as the last two. We have a serial killer.
DETECTIVE MORENO
Don\u2019t jump the gun Vargas. This could just be a gang war issue. Someone trying to scare people.
OFFICER VARGAS
Yeah but three men with their necks broken and a large round hole with a lot of lost blood. Shouldn\u2019t we call the FBI?
DETECTIVE MORENO
Did the coroner find anything?
OFFICER VARGAS
Nada. No fibers. No DNA. It is as if what ever did this was invisible. There were cameras on the edges of the alley and all we have on tape is the victim.
DETECTIVE MORENO (WHISPER)
Are you saying this is an espectro?
OFFICER VARGAS
This is insane.
DETECTIVE MORENO
That is why I don\u2019t want the FBI involved yet.
OFFICER VARGAS
Your pride is going to kill people.
DETECTIVE MORENO
This is not pride. Trust me.
OFFICER VARGAS
What does the Captain say?
DETECTIVE MORENO
Let me worry about the Captain.
Officer Vargas walks away. Detective Moreno picks up his cell.
DETECTIVE MORENO (CONT\u2019D)
(into his phone)
We need to talk. I\u2019ll be there in an hour.
INT. DARK LABORATORY- DAY
ISAAC MAYR, 40s is working over medical equipment. He is examining what appears to be blood samples and tissue. DETECTIVE MORENO enters with his gun raised as if he is going to shoot. ISAAC turns to him calmly.
ISAAC
You can put that down. She is not here.
DETECTIVE MORENO
How do you know?
ISAAC
I do. Plus I suspect you would be dead before even getting in here if she was.
DETECTIVE MORENO
This has gone to far Doc. I have too many bodies and it is getting hard for me not to take action.
ISAAC
I almost have it. If I am right, this will stop this for good.
DETECTIVE MORENO
She is a monster Isaac. We need to end this.
ISAAC
She does not know what she is doing. When that thing takes over it is not her. I can fix this. Based on these tests what I am developing will kill it and not her, but I need to make sure. I need more time.
DETECTIVE MORENO
You have forty eight hours. I can\u2019t give you more time. My officers are questioning my judgment and soon my superiors will too. I will have the FBI on my back and I won\u2019t be able to stop them finding out about her and you.
