01\/19\/08 The Goods 9.3 hours (I was tripped on this set.\u00a0 Weird thing is I heard someone say something about someone calling the police on someone, though that might have been part of the story- Melinda the AD from Eli Stone.\u00a0 Also there were background and a stand in from Eli Stone and this kid who was from Baltimore who did not like me. Made some comment to a guy on Eli Stone about most people from Baltimore were not anti- social.\u00a0 I was shy and bullied back there and left the Baltimore area in 1992 never to really go back, though I dated a guy in the early 1990s who lived in Baltimore for about 6 months.\u00a0 Melinda asked me if I was pushed. I basically was on set for maybe an hour or two before having both my legs knocked out from under me and my knees went into the asphalt. I still have a business card from the guy who is a Union Transp guy who gave it to me in case they played hard ball.\u00a0 The guy had to carry me into the hospital. I could not bend my legs.\u00a0 They gave me a\u00a0tetanus shot.\u00a0 I had\u00a0x-rays done.\u00a0 they told me I could get an MRI of my right leg. I was honest. I told them I had an accident in 1997 and it took me years to get it back. I did not want to go through that again.\u00a0 I was not supposed to be able to get up to the point i could run but I had and I was terrified of years of feeling trapped and helpless and unable to run.\u00a0 I ended up paying for a session with my acupuncturist on my own and she gave me 5 weeks that workman comp paid. I also screamed at the workman comp people because they did not want to seem to give me the MRI though I have a document from the doctor requesting it.\u00a0 they made me an appointment and I took the MRI from the MRI place to my acupuncturist.\u00a0 She told me nothing looked torn and it looked like she could do acupuncture and electric stem on it and i would be OK. I took the MRI to an workman comp doctor who first told me he could see the old and new injury on my right knee and then weeks later was like- you are fine.\u00a0 I felt like he was lying though.\u00a0 Also there were two men in the lobby when I came to see my acupuncturist and I would swear I heard one of them say “she can’t sue now.”\u00a0\u00a0 I just wanted to walk.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The day the accident happened we were supposed to run but I was being careful.\u00a0 It was calling for rain too and my knee was a little off.\u00a0 A PA told us, and he was looking at me when he said it: “Someone is not running all out and if they don’t run all out they will be fired.”\u00a0 Within an hour I was tripped.\u00a0 There were about 100 plus extras there that day, animal handlers for the crocodiles on set, crew, and I knew one of the PAs from Stick up too- a woman who let me come late when I had my fitting for 24.\u00a0 When I came back to set from the hospital on crutches, I remember I told Melinda I’m an expert at walking with them- I spent years on them back when I had knee surgery and knee problems in DC.\u00a0 If i had to walk for long periods of time I would bring them with me to give my right leg a break.\u00a0 I had surgery on my knee in 1997 too. Melinda was cool.\u00a0 She told me she would give me the full day or at least not dock me for the time in the Hospital.\u00a0 I even got a meal penalty though I was kind of in the Hospital so I don’t know if they had a meal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I could not bend my left leg completely for about a week and then it kind of started to work.\u00a0 My right leg did not start to work right until I went to my doctor.\u00a0 Again I had to fight with workers comp and tell them I wanted to go to my doctor because i knew she could get it working because she had before.\u00a0 She is a licensed acupuncturist\/ holistic doctor and chiropractor.\u00a0 I wanted the MRI so we would know if it was OK to proceed or if I needed surgery since it would not bend.\u00a0 I have a letter from my doctor saying she saw me on January 26th (the session I paid for myself) and also stating she recommended 5 weeks two times a week of sessions for my knees.\u00a0 My doctor later gave me a letter so if I took acting classes and needed to get permission to restrict my activity or even work on sets- I would have a note excusing me from having to do things that would stress my knee until a time when hopefully it would heal.\u00a0 There are things though I have not been able to do for years and I just accept it.\u00a0 I have not ridden a bike since 1997 though I do know how to drive a scooter and love it.\u00a0 After a week with her I was able to walk, though I have not run really since. I am getting there though.\u00a0 I may even try to run on the elliptical at the gym in the next month if I can get through a yoga session with out\u00a0either knee throbbing.\u00a0 I will start with like 5 to ten walking\u00a0backwards.\u00a0 (since my car accident in 1997 I run on the elliptical backwards- bc it stresses my knee out less.)\u00a0<\/p>\n
This was a sessions pay roll job by the way.\u00a0 Goods is a Paramount Film. Crew though worked with me on Eli Stone.<\/p>\n
I also need to add that there was some blonde woman hiding in one of the cars that some of the background kept trying to get me to notice or draw my attention to.\u00a0 Instead of working she was sitting in one of the vehicles.\u00a0 Also a guy by the name of JT who worked with me On Carnivale and he is kind of shady kept asking me how i was feeling on set the day of my accident.\u00a0 I lost a water bottle that day too.\u00a0 He kept asking me if\u00a0I had drunk lately.\u00a0 He creeps me out.\u00a0<\/p>\n
