This is a film I have been working on since 2016. Well working mostly in my head. I have 60 pages plus an additional 10 to 15 page script that is technically part of the film. I do not want to give up the entire story but I do want to stop anyone else from stealing my idea.

The film is about a curse put on a family of MEN by a Vodoo woman in the south in the 1860s after the brutal murder of a black woman just after she gives birth. The men are cursed to die by the time they are 40 years old. However there may be one way to break the curse. That is a secret I am going to keep. I have written a character for myself in this film. I am the MOTHER of a child with the curse. My son will someday die if I do not break it. I am not the hero of this story. My character is the HERALD. She starts it and she finishes it. In between is a family expecting a baby with secrets and trauma all their own. The real hero of this story is a half sister mixed race female with a troubled past and her sister who is about to bring her first baby into the world. There is a ghost. The murdered woman. And there is a maintenance man who may have his own agenda. But the real villain is very alive and very close.

The story is set almost completely in an old southern house with a few scenes set in the 1800s but most of it is present day.
