Cancer and why not give your hair away.
If you need a wig, there are stores here in Los Angeles that cater to the industry and you can fine their websites on line. I was surprised at what is available if you look. Your hair is a source of self esteem and it really is something that I imagine would be shocking to lose. I did not have to lose mine. A wardrobe guy from Carnivale sent me to one to buy a wig just in case. I actually ended up getting a beautiful blonde natural wig. I have issues with the idea of chemo or radiation, and luckily I did not go through that.
But I know how much our bodies go through, physically and mentally. You can find these stores on line.
Or if you can’t afford a wig that way, try the list of organizations found here. Truly Giving From the Body… Your Hair… I grew my hair out in 2007/8 and a friend of mine who is a stylist at Being in LA in Los Feliz cut it and I sent it to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths. Being in LA, I believe also is affiliated, or was, with Locks of Love. I did Pantene’s because it was specifically for breast cancer. Check on line to make sure your hair qualifies before making the effort. I like my hair to my shoulders and no longer, so I was so happy when my hair was shorn off. Being in LA.
